Let's Get Started
To reduce the risk of injury user must read instruction manuals for all tools used in this project. Wear eye and respiratory protection. Use clamps to support work piece whenever practical.
Begin by printing out the provided template & tracing the hook pattern 3 times onto the 1/2" plywood. We are making 3 stocking hangers that will notch into the 3 ft pine base.
Make all straight cuts on the pattern using the Ultra-Saw
Using the Moto-Saw, cut the hangers apart and contour cut them individually to the final curved hook shape.
Sand/smooth and round all of the edges using the Multi-Max.
Mark the desired positions for the hanger cutouts on the pine board base.
Plunge cut the marked notches with the Multi-Max and remove the cut material from the holes.
Insert the hangers into the notches to check the fit. Disassemble hooks from base and paint as desired. Reassemble finished unit, place on mantel and enjoy!
