Let's Get Started

To reduce the risk of injury user must read instruction manuals for all tools used in this project. Wear eye and respiratory protection. Use clamps to support work piece whenever practical.

STEP 1

Step 1

First, trace the spoon onto a piece of paper. Then, draw a design of your choice on the paper in the same location you would like it to appear on the spoon.

STEP 2

Step 2

Once satisfied with your design on the paper, cut out the paper spoon.

STEP 3

Step 3

Flip the paper spoon over and cover it with graphite. Be sure to color the areas where the pattern is drawn on the other side of the paper, so the pattern fully transfers to the wooden spoon in step 4.

STEP 4

Step 4

Next, flip the paper spoon back over so the pattern is visible again. Trace the pattern you first drew on the paper, pressing firmly so the graphite transfers onto the wooden spoon.

STEP 5

Step 5

Finally, use the Dremel VersaTip to burn the transferred pattern into the wooden spoon.
