Memory Charm
Introduction
Begin a collection of travel charms by decoupaging a map on plywood and engraving a memory on it for each trip you take.
Step 1
Begin by tracing the pattern of your choice, or use a heart as we, did onto 1/4" plywood. Then, using the Dremel Moto-Saw, begin in the center of the pattern and follow the pencil line to cut the charm out.
Step 2
Next, trace the same pattern used for the plywood onto a map of a location you have visited.
Step 3
Simply cut out the pattern with scissors.
Step 4
Now, using a paintbrush, cover one side of the cut-out plywood heart with the clear adhesive, (we used Mod Podge®), place the cutout heart directly on top of the decoupaged heart and cover again with the adhesive to give it the glossy finish.
Step 5
Next, personalize the heart by engraving with the Dremel Micro.
Step 6
Finally, flip the heart over to burn a memory into the wood with the Dremel VersaTip to add more decore to the charm.
